Bayern Munich have opened new contract discussions with Harry Kane, with the 32-year-old striker understood to be very keen to extend his stay in Bavaria as the club moves to secure his long-term future.
Kane’s current deal runs until summer 2027, leaving roughly 18 months remaining, but Bayern are already exploring an extension that could keep the England captain in Munich until 2028 or even 2029. The move reflects the club’s desire for stability at the top of their attack after Kane’s immediate impact since arriving from the Premier League.
Sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the talks are underway, stating: “We are talking to Harry.” Kane, for his part, has also indicated he is “quite open to staying longer”, underlining the positive tone surrounding negotiations.
The forward has quickly become central to Bayern’s sporting project, providing leadership and goals in equal measure, while also settling smoothly into life in Germany. Club officials view continuity in key positions as essential as they continue to target domestic dominance and European success.
Although discussions remain at an early stage, the mutual willingness on both sides suggests progress could follow in the coming months, with Kane’s future now firmly positioned as a priority for the Bundesliga champions.
