Bukayo Saka Commits Future to Arsenal with New Long-Term Deal

Bukayo Saka, Arsenal’s talismanic winger, has signed a new five-year contract at the Emirates Stadium, keeping the England international at the club until 2031. The agreement not only secures the future of one of Arsenal’s most influential players but also positions him as one of the highest-paid athletes in the club’s history.

The 24-year-old, a product of Arsenal’s Hale End academy, joined the club at the age of seven and has since progressed to become an indispensable figure under Mikel Arteta. Saka has made 290 appearances for the Gunners, scoring 77 goals and delivering numerous assists, with seven goals and six assists already this season.

“I want to win wearing this badge,” Saka previously stated, highlighting his long-standing commitment to Arsenal’s ambitions.

Saka’s influence extends beyond statistics; his creativity and work rate make him central to Arsenal’s attacking strategy, particularly on the right wing. Last season, despite a three-month hamstring injury, he produced 12 goals and 13 assists, while the 2023/24 campaign saw him contribute 20 goals and 14 assists, helping Arsenal narrowly miss out on the Premier League title.

The club has actively secured its young core in recent years. Alongside Saka, players such as William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, Ethan Nwaneri, and Myles Lewis-Skelly have committed to long-term deals, ensuring continuity in Arsenal’s title-chasing squad.

Financially, Saka’s new deal reportedly elevates his earnings to around £300,000 per week, placing him among the elite earners in European football. This reflects the club’s recognition of his exceptional talent and long-term potential, as he enters the peak years of his career.

Arsenal currently enjoy a strong domestic and European campaign, with Saka playing a pivotal role in maintaining their lead in the Premier League and their perfect record in the Champions League so far. His consistency and ability to deliver in key matches make him a cornerstone of the squad, and a critical figure for England as they approach the upcoming World Cup under Thomas Tuchel.

This contract extension ensures that Bukayo Saka’s legacy at Arsenal will continue to grow, cementing his status as both a fan favourite and a central figure in the club’s ongoing pursuit of major trophies.
